At the HCDCCP, we believe that “parental alienation” or “alienation” is a discredited theory based on Dr. Richard Gardner's clinical observations, not scientific data. “Alienation” is not recognized by the United Nations (UN), American Psychiatric Association (APA), the World Health Organization (WHO) or the American Medical Association. An applicant who believes in the pseudo-concept of “alienation” would not be a good fit for our program nor would they be eligible for referrals upon certification.
